Job Details

We are seeking a project development engineer to serve in a highly visible role, partnering with sales, customers, and subcontractors to develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical solutions that deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate is a strategic/"outside the box" thinker with experience in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and customer proposals
  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify opportunities, define solutions, and support project wins
  • Creating and evaluating cost estimates for HVAC piping, sheet metal, controls, and mechanical system improvements
  • Developing conceptual HVAC system designs and evaluating system alternatives
  • Managing project development timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables

MUST HAVE:
  • BS in a related field
  • 5-7+ years of HVAC or MEP design experience OR 8+ years of experience at a mechanical contractor
  • Strong project development and estimating experience
  • Mechanical HVAC layout and systems design

NICE TO HAVE:
  • P.E. license or CEM certification
  • Experience with HVAC control systems
