Are you a passionate Mechanical Engineer with a knack for sales and a deep understanding of industrial manufacturing processes? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our thriving team. This role offers an opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise in mechanical engineering and industrial manufacturing to drive sales and enhance customer relationships. You will be instrumental in promoting our portfolio of mechanical products, focusing primarily on air filtration and airflow systems. This role is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is not afraid to take the lead and who can confidently communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the industrial manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on air filtration and airflow systems.
2. Provide technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests regarding our products and services.
3. Serve as a liaison between the sales team and the clients, offering technical support and product knowledge.
4. Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product specifications and applications.
6. Conduct product presentations to potential clients, demonstrating how our mechanical engineering products meet their needs.
7. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
8. Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
9. Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure products meet expected performance levels and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industrial manufacturing sector.
3. Proven experience as an application engineer, with a focus on air filtration and airflow systems.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, industrial manufacturing processes, and sales techniques.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
6. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on providing practical solutions to clients.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines.
10. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

- Handle the area from the 10 freeway North to Bakersfield and Santa Maria. (Ideally, the candidate will reside within the territory.)
- The first year will involve significant office time/training in Santa Ana. (After training, the candidate should be able to work from home with only 2-3 visits to the office per month)
