We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Shop Coordinator to join our thriving manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, a passion for efficiency, and a deep understanding of mechanical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our mechanical shop, ensuring that all tasks are carried out accurately, efficiently, and safely. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Shop Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and maintaining our mechanical shop's inventory, ensuring all necessary tools, parts, and equipment are readily available for our technicians.
2. Coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.
3. Supervising and guiding shop technicians, fostering a team-oriented environment that prioritizes safety and efficiency.
4. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and regulations in the shop.
5. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of shop equipment, ensuring all machinery is in good working order.
6. Monitoring the shop's operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
7. Handling administrative tasks, such as preparing reports on shop operations and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with inventory management.
3. A deep understanding of mechanical operations and shop management.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Proficiency in using inventory management software and other related computer applications.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
10. Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical operations or related field would be an added advantage.
