We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Med Mal Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile cases in the legal industry, specifically focusing on Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for justice. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases, from initial client consultation through resolution. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and personal injury cases, ensuring all cases are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, keeping them informed and involved in their cases.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to develop case strategies and prepare for trial.
  • Stay current on developments in medical malpractice and personal injury law to provide informed legal advice.
  • Work closely with medical experts to understand the medical issues in each case.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation.
  • Strong legal research skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Exceptional negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and concepts is a plus.
