Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for adult medical-surgical patients
Admit and monitor patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and post-surgical recovery
Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and manage medical equipment safely
Provide direct bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and specialists for coordinated care
Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with all standards
Support pre- and post-operative care while ensuring patient safety and comfort
Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in unit-based quality initiatives

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Minimum 1–2 years of acute care or Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends as needed
