We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a medical-surgical setting, while working closely with a team of healthcare professionals. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-stress situations. The Med Surg Registered Nurse will be expected to deliver high-quality patient care, educate patients and their families about various health conditions, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
3. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
4. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
5. Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs.
6. Observe and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records of patients' medical histories and treatment plans.
7. Instruct and educate patients and families on treatment measures, promoting self-care and improved health.
8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations.
9. Adhere to infection-control protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
10. Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of medical surgical nursing practices and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess a Nursing Degree (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
2. Active and valid Registered Nurse License in Colorado.
3. Compact license preferred.
4. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med Surg Registered Nurse.
5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
6. Exceptional patient care skills and clinical expertise in a medical-surgical setting.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
10. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during stressful times.
11. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
12. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physically demanding tasks.
13. Must be committed to lifelong learning and demonstrate ongoing professional development.
