Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories
Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care
Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
Administer injections, medications, and immunizations (as permitted)
Perform basic lab procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
Provide patient education and support follow-up care instructions
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and care follow-ups
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Support a team-based care model focused on quality and patient outcomes
Qualifications
1–3+ years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a community health or FQHC setting
Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
Experience working with diverse and underserved populations
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care procedures
Familiarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
