We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consulting Medical Front Desk Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. This exciting role involves a blend of patient care, administrative tasks, and consulting duties. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for a positive experience, while also ensuring the smooth running of our front desk operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Medical Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
1. Coordinating all front desk activities, including calls, reservations, and patients’ appointments.
2. Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing high-quality service, answering questions, and resolving any complaints.
3. Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
4. Assisting in the management of patient flow by making necessary adjustments to schedules and resources.
5. Collaborating with medical and non-medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
6. Training and mentoring new staff members on office procedures and protocols.
7. Consulting and advising management on ways to improve the patient experience and front desk operations.
8. Ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
9. Managing patient billing and payment processes, including insurance claims.
10. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized reception area.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
2. Exceptional knowledge of patient care best practices.
3. Proven experience in healthcare consulting or advisory roles.
4. Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and management.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. The ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
8. A strong understanding of healthcare regulations and laws.
9. A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
10. A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
