We are actively recruiting medical malpractice attorneys for a full service healthcare law firm with multiple office locations in Southern California. Our client specializes in the defending healthcare facilities and providers for medical and dental malpractice, professional liability, elder abuse, employment law, products liability, premises liability and other general liability matters. This is an ideal opportunity for a dedicated medical malpractice attorney with significant opportunity for professional growth and career development.

We are seeking attorneys with at least 3 years of experience in a medical malpractice, professional liability or healthcare defense practice group. Interested candidates should have experience handling all stages of litigation (trial experience great, but not required) and demonstrate confidence in handling complex cases. Autonomy will be given to take charge of your own cases while also having access to a collaborative team of experienced senior and associate attorneys.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and pleadings.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, representing the firm and its clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Stay updated with the latest legal developments and industry trends in medical malpractice.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a medical malpractice or healthcare defense practice group.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
