Responsibilities:

1. Handle a caseload involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence claims, working cases from beginning to end.
2. Conduct legal research and factual investigation to identify potential causes of action, assess liability, and quantify damages.
3. Draft and review legal briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and other court documents.
4. Represent clients in pre-trials, trials, arbitrations, and mediations before administrative agencies, foreign tribunals, and courts at the state and federal level.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to avoid court proceedings.
6. Develop and implement litigation strategies consistent with client goals.
7. Counsel clients on the strengths, weaknesses, risks, and costs associated with their case.
8. Work collaboratively with legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and legal precedents relevant to medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. 6+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases.
4. Proven experience in trial practice, legal research, legal writing, litigation, and legal discovery.
5. Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume caseload and manage multiple deadlines.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
7. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of maintaining professional relationships with clients and working collaboratively with a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and detail-oriented approach.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
10. Unwavering commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
