A growing litigation practice is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its expanding Medical Malpractice practice group in Miami, Florida.
This attorney will represent healthcare providers and professionals in complex civil litigation matters, working alongside experienced trial attorneys on case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation. The position provides an excellent opportunity for an attorney with insurance defense or complex litigation experience to expand their courtroom exposure and develop as a trial advocate.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience, preferably involving medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare defense, or other complex litigation matters. Candidates with significant trial advocacy experience in related litigation areas will also be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Represent healthcare providers and professionals in medical malpractice and liability matters
- Manage litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution
- Assist with discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, and trial preparation
- Participate in case strategy and litigation planning
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence
- Coordinate with experts and consultants
- Communicate with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in mediation, settlement discussions, and trial proceedings
- Develop increasing ownership over matters and client relationships
Qualifications:
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar
- 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Medical malpractice or professional liability experience preferred
- Meaningful trial advocacy experience strongly preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex matters independently
