- Independently manage a caseload of medical malpractice defense matters from inception through resolution
- Draft and respond to discovery, take and defend depositions, and handle motion practice
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Develop litigation strategies tailored to the facts and legal issues of each case
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
- Ensure high-quality legal representation with a focus on client service and efficient case management
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice defense litigation
- Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior trial experience preferred but not required
