Bonuses & Compensation Structure
Objective, formula-based bonus system (not discretionary).
Calculated using fees collected and annual salary.
10% of first $100K collected, 15% of the second $100, 20% of the next $100K+.
Origination bonus: 10% of revenue from originated cases (regardless of involvement).
Quarterly associate bonus: $1,500 per quarter ($6K annually) for staying on track with billables.

Job Details

3+ years of medical malpractice litigation experience required.

Law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced (3+ years) Medical Malpractice Attorney. Responsibilities include providing legal analysis and advice, preparing and filing legal pleadings and documents, performing legal research, preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery, preparing for and conducting administrative and judicial hearings, civil jury trials and post-trial activities. Must be admitted in Florida.
Career Path & Advancement
Clear path to partnership:
Each May, associates are invited to apply for Partner, and partners can apply for Equity Partner.
The Management Committee reviews all partnership applications.
For highly senior lateral hires, partnership can be pre-negotiated or candidates can apply in the next annual cycle.
Billable Expectations
Insurance Defense: 2,000 hours annually.
Commercial Litigation: 1,850 hours annually.
Associates regularly meet targets — ample workload and client demand.
