We are looking for a dedicated Permanent Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by administering medication, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Medication Aide, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Administering prescribed medications to patients in accordance with their care plans.
2. Observing and documenting patient reactions to medications, reporting any adverse reactions to the nursing staff immediately.
3. Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
4. Helping maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients by sanitizing surfaces, changing bed linens, and disposing of waste properly.
5. Assisting with patient transfers, mobility, and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
6. Monitoring vital signs and general health conditions of patients, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
7. Participating in regular staff meetings to discuss patient care, changes in protocols, and improvements in the medication administration process.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Medication Aide position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Must have a valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from a recognized institution.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medication Aide, CNA, or related role.
3. Proven ability to administer medication and complete related documentation accurately and timely.
4. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
6. Strong understanding of patient confidentiality laws and medical ethics.
7. Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies promptly.
8. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform other physically demanding tasks.
