Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate and manage materials, ensuring they are ordered and delivered on time.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
  • Proven working experience in construction project management, including records of successful completion of projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with federal and government construction projects is a plus.
