An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Permanent MEP Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the construction industry, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations. In this role, you will be key to our success, utilizing your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to provide accurate cost estimates for our diverse range of projects. Responsibilities:

As our MEP Estimator, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP systems, including equipment, materials, labor, and time requirements.
2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
3. Conducting research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, and other relevant factors.
4. Collaborating with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
5. Presenting prepared estimates to stakeholders, including detailed reports or bids for business owners and clients.
6. Maintaining records of estimated and actual costs, and managing bid pricing from all vendors.
7. Reviewing the scope of work and proposals to ensure accuracy of data and calculations.
8. Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience and proficiency in plumbing is essential.
3. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing required.
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in relevant software, including CAD and estimating packages.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
9. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
10. A commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
