MEP Superintendent

An international ship building company is looking to bring in some MEP superintendents for their latest Miami mega project.

The team is a solid group of guys and really need someone that has handled projects over 40mil.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced MEP Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with a particular focus on finishing works. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting engineering projects in the industry.

Responsibilities

As an MEP Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MEP trades on our construction projects. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Supervising and coordinating the work of the MEP trades to ensure that all installations are accurate, timely, and meet the highest quality standards.

2. Reviewing and understanding all contract documents, including plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

3. Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with these documents, as well as all applicable codes and standards.

4. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop and implement effective strategies for completing the MEP portions of our projects.

5. Conducting regular inspections of the work in progress to ensure that all installations are being carried out correctly and safely.

6. Identifying and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.

7. Providing regular updates and reports to project managers and other stakeholders on the progress of the MEP work.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Superintendent or a similar role in the engineering industry.

2. Proven experience as a finishing superintendent, with a strong understanding of all aspects of MEP systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting.

3. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.

4. Strong knowledge of all applicable codes and standards related to MEP systems.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.

7. A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
