This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about woodwork and have a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our millwork shop, including the operation of CNC machinery, custom work, quality control, supervision, safety, casework, troubleshooting, and more. This role involves working on a variety of projects, from cabinets and furniture to intricate millwork pieces. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the millwork shop.
- Operate and maintain CNC machinery and other millwork equipment.
- Ensure the production of custom work is completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet our high standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Manage casework projects from conception to completion.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with machinery or during the production process.
- Oversee the creation of cabinets, furniture, and other millwork pieces.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a millwork shop or similar environment.
- Extensive knowledge of woodwork and millwork processes.
- Proficient in operating CNC machinery and other millwork equipment.
- Strong experience in custom work, quality control, supervision, and safety.
- Proven experience in casework and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with a variety of millwork products, including cabinets and furniture.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a millwork shop environment.
