We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Mixed-Use Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position with a focus on overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial construction projects and a deep understanding of the construction industry. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement project plans and strategies, ensuring that the project is completed within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that they understand and adhere to job expectations and standards.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues that might arise promptly.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in construction management software programs.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
