Job Details
- Design and develop rubber compression and injection molds using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo)
- Analyze sketches, specifications, and material properties to ensure precision engineering
- Conduct design reviews and collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and production teams
- Implement innovative solutions, including 3D-printed tooling and advanced manufacturing techniques
- Optimize mold designs to improve performance, efficiency, and longevity
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and tolerance stack-up requirements
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging manufacturing technologies
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or certification in CAD design, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mold design for rubber or plastic injection molding
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo)
- Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in rubber, plastics, or precision tooling
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and design optimization techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
