We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mold Maker to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is integral to the production process, creating and maintaining molds used in the manufacturing of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool and die, mold making, and injection molding, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 5+ years of Injection Molding experience to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and fabricate molds and tools for the manufacturing process using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks.
  • Operate and maintain various machines including 3D CNC machining, EDM, bridgeport mill, lathes, and grinders.
  • Ensure all molds and tools are in compliance with AS/ISO 9001 and ISO13485 standards.
  • Carry out regular maintenance on molds and tools to ensure their longevity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve tool design and mold performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as a tool and die maker and mold maker.
  • 5+ years of Injection Molding experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining machines such as 3D CNC machining, EDM, bridgeport mill, lathes, and grinders.
  • Extensive knowledge of AS/ISO 9001 and ISO13485 standards.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with tools and fixtures used in the manufacturing process.
  • Previous experience with plastic injection molding.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
