Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Fire Sprinkler Systems, Kitchen Hood and/or Backflow
- NICET I Certification in Water-based systems or higher
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- High School diploma or higher
- Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification, Portland Certificate of Fitness (COF) for Fire Sprinkler/ Underground/ Fire Extinguisher/ Fire Suppression is a Plus
- Knowledge & ability to understand and operate basic computer programs/functions (i.e. Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, Android, etc.)
Job Duties:
- Inspect and test all types of Fire Sprinkler Systems, including Hood Suppression Systems
- Inspect and test Backflow prevention devices as required by USC 10 and state/local codes
- Assist and coordinate with all forms of fire life safety system testing
- Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
- Discuss deficiencies noted with the customer and explain the problem and its resolution
- Maintain a positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-ups, quotes, questions and concerns
