Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer with a NICET Level III certification to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for the design, layout, and coordination of fire sprinkler systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate is experienced in code compliance, system hydraulics, and CAD/BIM tools, and thrives in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM platforms in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Perform hydraulic calculations and material takeoffs to support system performance and cost estimation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and field personnel to ensure designs are accurate and constructible.
Prepare submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.
Conduct on-site field surveys and coordination meetings when necessary.
Ensure all designs meet jurisdictional code requirements and pass AHJ review.
Stay current with industry standards, product developments, and code updates.
Mentor and support junior designers or technicians, if applicable.
Qualifications:
NICET Level III Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout (Required).
Minimum [X] years of experience in fire sprinkler system design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software (such as HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, or AutoSPRINK).
Strong understanding of NFPA codes, particularly NFPA 13, 14, and 25.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
