We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Nurse Educator - Operating Room to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Nurse Educator - Operating Room, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive and effective educational programs for the operating room nursing staff based on identified learning needs and in line with the latest evidence-based practices.
2. Providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
3. Collaborating with nursing leadership and staff to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
4. Facilitating a learning environment that fosters continuous professional growth and development.
5. Participating in the selection and orientation of new nursing staff.
6. Leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends, best practices, and advancements in the field of operating room nursing.
8. Performing other duties as assigned by the nursing leadership.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Nurse Educator - Operating Room position, you must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing or Education is preferred.
2. Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
3. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an operating room setting.
4. Prior experience as a Nurse Educator - OR, OR Nurse Educator, or OR RN is highly desirable.
5. Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in using various learning methodologies, instructional design and simulation.
8. A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
10. Certification as a Nurse Educator is a plus.
