We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Nurse Manager to join our team in the medical industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional care and leadership in a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to patients with a range of behavioral health, emotional, psychiatric challenges, and disorders. This role is particularly suited to individuals with a passion for working with children and adolescents with autism and intellectual & developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the operations of the nursing department, including the supervision and evaluation of nursing staff.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
3. Ensure the provision of compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents with autism and intellectual & developmental disabilities.
4. Manage patient admissions and discharges in the impatient psychiatric hospital and psychiatric residential treatment settings.
5. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
6. Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of nursing services.
7. Provide education and guidance to nursing staff to ensure they remain up-to-date with the latest best practices in the field.
8. Handle any escalated patient care issues or complaints.
9. Participate in budget preparation and expense management activities.
10. Act as a role model and advocate for patients, their families, and the nursing staff.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse Manager, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
2. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
3. Current and valid state RN license.
4. Experience working with children and adolescents with autism and intellectual & developmental disabilities.
5. Proven experience in managing an impatient psychiatric hospital and psychiatric residential treatment.
6. In-depth knowledge of behavioral health, emotional, and psychiatric challenges and disorders.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
10. Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients.
11. Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare IT systems.
12. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
