Job Details
As a Permanent Operating Room RN, you will be at the heart of our surgical operations, providing exceptional care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for surgical patients.
3. Assisting surgeons during operations by handling instruments, retraction, suturing, and wound exposure as necessary.
4. Monitoring the patient’s condition during surgery and responding swiftly to changes.
5. Documenting surgical procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
6. Educating patients and their families on postoperative care and potential complications.
7. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
8. Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field of surgical nursing.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 1+ years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
2. Proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures including but not limited to Plastics, GYN, GU, General, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology, Pulmonology, and ENT.
3. An active RN license in good standing.
