We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full time Nurse Practitioner to join our team of medical professionals in our Oncology practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an oncology setting, working closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-focused environment where the emphasis is on providing the best possible care to those facing cancer diagnoses and treatments.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Oncology, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Providing comprehensive care to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
2. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care.
3. Managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment, including pain, nausea, fatigue, and emotional distress.
4. Educating patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment.
5. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in oncology care.
7. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and infection control.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Oncology position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Nurse practitioner degree or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program for nursing education.
2. Successful completion of an APP program.
3. A minimum of 3 years practicing as an APP.
4. Experience in an oncology setting is highly preferred.
5. Current state certification.
6. Current CPR certification.
7. Experience and knowledge in the management of the psychological and physiological effects of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with and provide support to patients facing a cancer diagnosis.
9. Strong clinical skills, with the ability to make decisions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
10. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
