Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing high-quality, comprehensive medical care to patients with chronic pain, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
2. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to manage patient care.
3. Prescribing and administering medications, therapies, and procedures in accordance with state regulations and institutional policies.
4. Conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and making referrals to specialists when necessary.
5. Educating patients and their families on disease prevention and health promotion.
6. Participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and professional development activities.
7. Maintaining accurate, detailed patient records and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
8. Responding to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with other healthcare providers as needed.

Qualifications:

1. An active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state.
2. A minimum of five years of clinical experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting.
3. Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
4. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for Nurse Practitioners, or NCCPA certification (PA-C) for Physician Assistants are preferred.
