Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric (Bilingual)

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated Bilingual Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Psychiatry to join our diverse and vibrant team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the unique opportunity to work with patients from various backgrounds, providing high-quality psychiatric care in both English and another language (Spanish or Chinese). You will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals in the medical industry, providing essential mental health services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to patients, including assessment of mental health status, health behaviors, self-care capabilities, and social supports.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders and mental health issues.
• Prescribe and manage medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters and treatment plans.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide services in English and either Spanish or Chinese, depending on the linguistic needs of the patient.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on psychiatric care.
• Fluency in English and either Spanish or Chinese is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
• Knowledge and understanding of cultural and linguistic competency.
• Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to practice of psychiatry and mental health nursing.
• Ability to use Electronic Health Records and other healthcare software.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
