Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Consulting Occupational Therapist to join our team in the healthcare industry. This is a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be expected to travel between various schools within the district, providing expert occupational therapy services to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. This exciting role requires more than just a therapist; we are looking for a compassionate individual who is passionate about helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Assessing students' skills and abilities, and developing individualized treatment plans to enhance their physical, social, and cognitive skills.
2. Providing expert consultation to school staff and parents regarding the implementation of occupational therapy strategies and interventions.
3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including teachers, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for each student.
4. Traveling between various schools within the district to provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services.
5. Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and updated reports on each student's progress.
6. Participating in IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings to provide insights and recommendations.
7. Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in occupational therapy to ensure the highest quality of care for students.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree or higher will be highly preferred.
2. A valid South Carolina Occupational Therapy license.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably within a school setting.
4. Strong knowledge of various occupational therapy techniques and approaches, especially those relevant to a school setting.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
6. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
7. Proficient in using various software and tools for documentation, communication, and data analysis.
8. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between schools within the district.
