We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate to join our Oil, Gas, and Maritime Legal Team. This is a permanent position that offers an outstanding opportunity to work on complex legal issues within the Oil & Gas and Maritime industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters, including contract negotiations, risk management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Oil & Gas/ Maritime Associate, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of maritime and oil & gas matters.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements related to maritime operations, oil & gas exploration, production, and transportation.
3. Advising on risk management and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Representing the company in dispute resolution proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
5. Collaborating with other legal team members and business units to develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
6. Staying current on developments in maritime and oil & gas law and advising the company on potential impacts.
7. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memos, opinions, and briefs.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to practice law in your jurisdiction.
3. A minimum of years of legal experience, with a focus on maritime law and/or oil & gas law.
4. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal issues to non-lawyers.
8. A deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape of the maritime and oil & gas industry.
9. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and to prioritize effectively.
10. A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
