Our healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering world-class care to patients in an ambulatory surgical center. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that performs a wide range of surgical procedures in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, your primary duties will include:
1. Providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in our outpatient center.
2. Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
3. Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
4. Maintaining a sterile operating room and adhering to all facility health and safety standards.
5. Assisting surgeons during operations and acting as an OR Circulator.
6. Administering prescribed medications and carefully monitoring patient reactions.
7. Collaborating with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
8. Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures, postoperative care, and any potential complications.
9. Participating in professional development activities to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
1. A valid Registered Nurse license.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in an outpatient center or ambulatory surgical center.
3. Experience as an OR Circulator.
4. Exceptional clinical skills, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
5. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team and make critical decisions under pressure.
10. BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
