We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This full-time, permanent position provides an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in the operating room environment and outpatient care. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience in orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and as a scrub nurse. This role offers a challenging and rewarding environment where you can make a significant impact on patient lives, delivering high-quality care and treatment.

Responsibilities

As an Operating Room RN, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care, ensuring patient safety at all times.
2. Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to plan and implement patient surgical procedures.
3. Preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
4. Assisting in orthopedic, ENT, and ophthalmology procedures as a scrub nurse.
5. Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional wellbeing.
6. Documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
7. Adhering to infection-control protocols, following medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
8. Participating in professional development activities to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the medical field.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Operating Room RN role, the candidate must possess the following:

1. A valid Registered Nurse license.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN, preferably in an outpatient setting.
3. Proven experience in orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and as a scrub nurse.
4. Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, patient safety, and sterile technique.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
6. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment, demonstrating problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
7. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. BLS/ACLS certification is required.
9. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
