Job Details
The Operations Manager will oversee all manufacturing activities within one of its key divisions. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, team development, and continuous improvement across multiple chemical production lines, including:

Key Responsibilities:
o Production Status Conformance
o Inventory Accuracy (MAPE)
o Labor Absorption Percentage
- Bulk chemical manufacturing
- Small-batch chemical production
- Solid chemical break bulk and repackaging
- Bottling and packaging of aqueous chemical solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Operations Management, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
- 8+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success in leading manufacturing teams and operations
- Experience with project management (PMP certification is a plus)
- ERP system experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or Lean Enterprise concepts (Green or Black Belt is encouraged but not required)
- Strong skills in delegation, budgeting, and cost control
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business vision into actionable plans
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage both the Production Manager and Engineering Manager
- Continuously improve operational processes and production efficiency
- Identify and implement KPIs to monitor and enhance performance across the division
- Track and optimize metrics such as:
o Production Status Conformance
o Inventory Accuracy (MAPE)
o Labor Absorption Percentage
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to exceed customer expectations
- Support professional development and career progression within the team
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance proprietary systems and tools
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Foster a positive, performance-driven work environment focused on continuous improvement
- Conduct budget reviews and monitor revenue margins to support profitability
