This is an exhilarating opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join a dynamic team in the scientific industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality vaccines. This role will require a keen understanding of both the life sciences and animal health sectors, as well as a strong background in regulatory compliance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing production processes
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality vaccines.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies and objectives to drive growth and achieve operational performance targets.
3. Manage the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, seeking ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by the USDA and FDA.
5. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all production equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition and meets all safety standards.
6. Manage a team of staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
7. Collaborate with other department heads to align operational activities with overall company objectives.
8. Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
9. Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure all products meet our stringent quality standards.
10. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our operations remain competitive and compliant.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management within the scientific industry.
3. Proven experience in vaccine manufacturing and animal health is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in the scientific industry, including USDA and FDA regulations.
5. Demonstrated experience in managing continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing production processes.
6. Proficient in managing and maintaining production equipment.
7. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
10. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to stay informed and adapt to industry changes and advancements.
