Drive operational excellence in a permanent role at the intersection of engineering and aerospace. As Operations Manager, you will turn strategic goals into reliable execution, strengthen quality and delivery performance, and empower teams to achieve ambitious results.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader with 5+ years of relevant experience who thrives on solving complex challenges, improving processes, and building a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day engineering and manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Develop operational plans, allocate resources, and manage capacity to support production targets and business growth.
Drive compliance with AS9100 requirements and applicable aerospace industry standards, working closely with quality and engineering teams.
Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement measurable improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
Manage operational budgets, control costs, and improve productivity without compromising product quality or safety.
Partner with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues, manage change, and deliver projects on schedule.
Coach and develop team members, set clear expectations, and foster collaboration and ownership.
Support audits, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and risk mitigation activities.
Strengthen supplier performance, material availability, and workflow reliability to maintain consistent delivery.
Report key metrics, operational risks, and improvement priorities to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.
5+ years of relevant operations management experience within engineering, aerospace, or a closely related industry.
Demonstrated success as an Operations Manager or in an equivalent leadership role overseeing technical or manufacturing operations.
Practical knowledge of AS9100 quality management requirements, including audit readiness, process controls, and corrective action.
Experience working in aerospace environments with demanding quality, traceability, and delivery expectations.
Strong understanding of engineering processes, production planning, resource management, and operational performance measurement.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver sustainable improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with ERP systems, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent operational tools is advantageous.
