The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating visual impairments and eye conditions, providing personalized eye care solutions, and educating patients on eye health. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
The Optometrist will be responsible for:
1. Conducting comprehensive eye exams to assess patients' visual health and diagnose eye conditions and diseases.
2. Prescribing corrective lenses and contact lenses as needed.
3. Providing guidance on proper contact lens care to ensure patient safety and comfort.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
5. Keeping detailed patient records regarding diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
6. Staying updated on the latest advancements in optometry and eye care.
7. Educating patients on preventive eye care and promoting eye health awareness.
8. Providing pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess:
1. A Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school.
2. A valid license to practice optometry in the state.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an optometrist, with a strong focus on contact lens care.
4. Exceptional patient service skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
5. Proficiency in using advanced optometry equipment and technologies.
6. Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and accurately.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively educate patients on eye health and contact lens care.
8. The ability to work cooperatively as part of a healthcare team.
9. A commitment to ethical practice and adherence to all professional standards and regulations.
