We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Contract Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will be working in a Level IV Trauma center, dealing with a diverse range of cases and providing critical care when it's needed the most. The position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a competitive remuneration package.

Responsibilities:

As a Contract Orthopedic Surgeon, you will be expected to:

1. Diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, including diseases, injuries, and conditions affecting the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
2. Perform surgical procedures as required, ranging from minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries to complex reconstructions and replacements.
3. Provide emergency care for trauma patients, including fracture management and stabilization, wound care, and post-traumatic reconstruction.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and occupational therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
5. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery and integrate new techniques and technologies into practice as appropriate.
6. Participate in research activities, contribute to scientific literature, and attend professional conferences and seminars to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and competence.
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and infection control.
8. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, post-surgical care, and rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

1. A Medical Degree from an accredited institution and completion of a residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
2. Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
3. A minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Orthopedic Surgeon, preferably in a Level IV Trauma center.
4. Proficiency in a range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, joint replacement, and trauma surgery.
5. Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. A commitment to ongoing professional development and the ability to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery.
8. A valid state medical license and DEA certification.
9. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to work long hours, often under stressful conditions.
