Our client is a well-established leader in medical construction and one of California’s most respected healthcare facility contractors. In business for almost 50 years now, they provide pre-construction, construction management, general construction and design build services to a wide range of healthcare facilities and other commercial clients.
They have completed over 3,000 projects, half of which were under OSHPD jurisdiction, so they are always on the lookout for talented construction professionals with OSHPD experience.
Currently they are looking to add a Superintendent who can handle their projects in Riverside County, and this will be a full-time permanent role offering generous compensation, excellent benefits and plenty of stability with a solid backlog of work.

Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Commitment to completion of projects on time and within budget
- Proven and effective management skills over contracted trades as well as provide leadership to workman.
- Coordinate all work with the Project Manager.
- Maintain complete knowledge of project details.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
- Meet and collaborate with subcontractor foremen, review plans, revisions and requirements.
- Liaison with corporate and suppliers.
- Verify subcontractor work.
- Prepare and monitor RFIs
- Maintain daily reports of work completed and labor and materials employed.
- Cooperate with and direct as necessary, the activities of the inspection agencies and to affect remedial actions indicated by the reports of these agencies.
- Ensure that subcontractors enforce their safety programs including the holding of safety meetings.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a superintendent including projects under OSHPD jurisdiction
- Ground-up construction experience is a MUST
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications for building.
- Ability to resolve field versus plans related discrepancies with a “can do attitude”.
- Working knowledge of relevant trades involved in project.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project
