Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient's physical and functional status through a comprehensive examination.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient-specific issues, including pain, mobility limitations, muscle weakness, balance issues, and coordination problems.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, functional training, and patient education.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, including self-care techniques, preventive measures, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers, to provide coordinated care to patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including evaluation results, treatment plans, and patient progress.
- Participate in continuing education activities to stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Exceptional knowledge of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training.
- Excellent patient management skills, including the ability to evaluate patient needs, develop effective treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex therapy procedures in a clear and understandable way.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- A strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping individuals improve their physical health and well-being.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and other healthcare IT systems.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and assisting patients with physical movements.
