We are a local PACE program (Providing All Inclusive Care to the Elderly) right here in Greensboro, NC. In this supervisor role, you will run the operations of our Adult Day Health Center. This position requires an active and unencumbered RN license. Some of the duties of this role include:

  • Train and supervise RNs, CNAs, and staff
  • Serve as the triage nurse
  • Serve as liaison between senior leadership and staff
  • Develop training material for staff
  • Assist with policies and procedures
  • Work with a larger care team
  • Assist with audits as required
  • Maintain departmental budget

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced RN Supervisor for our Adult Day Health program. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care to our adult and geriatric patients. The RN Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care while also ensuring that our program operates efficiently and effectively. This position is ideally suited for a candidate with a strong background in nursing, management, and geriatric care, as well as experience with the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Adult Day Health program, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of healthcare professionals, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff.
  • Develop and implement care plans for patients, in collaboration with other healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
  • Monitor the health status of patients, adjusting care plans as necessary and intervening in emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in healthcare.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to identify and implement best practices in patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Adult Day Health program.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric care setting.
  • At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with the PACE model of care is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with a strong emphasis on geriatric care.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare providers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • A deep commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and other healthcare IT systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and moving patients as necessary.

This is a full time role, Monday through Friday: 40 hours a week with on call as needed.
