Job Details

We are seeking a technically minded Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow a territory within Southeast Michigan. This role is ideal for someone who understands fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, motion control, or industrial automation and enjoys building long-term customer relationships.

You will be responsible for territory development, account management, business development, technical sales support, forecasting, and driving profitable revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive profitable territory growth through consultative selling
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships
  • Present technical solutions and recommendations to customers
  • Work closely with engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers
  • Develop proposals and respond to customer inquiries
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline information
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue performance
  • Collaborate with internal product specialists and technical teams
  • Stay current on industry trends and product developments

Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of technical sales or relevant industry experience
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power, motion control, or industrial products
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a territory independently
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities
  • Industrial manufacturing or OEM market experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or similar business systems preferred

Compensation
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission structure
  • Typical earnings opportunity between $100,000-$150,000+ in first year
  • Additional incentives tied to new business development
  • Mileage and business expense reimbursement
