We are an industry-leading manufacturing company seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, prior industry experience, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. This role is ideal for a driven individual with stellar communication skills and a knack for identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. With us, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise in sales planning, lead generation, sales forecasting, and territory management.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned territory or sector.
2. Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and customer needs and preferences.
3. Generate leads and build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.
4. Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating product value and benefits.
5. Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.
6. Coordinate with the internal team to ensure product availability, delivery, and after-sales service.
7. Utilize CRM tools to track all sales activities and maintain a database of existing and potential clients.
8. Provide accurate sales forecasts, updates and business plans to the management regularly.
9. Participate in industry events and conferences to gather information on market trends and competitors.
10. Provide feedback to the team and management on customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive strategies.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role, with a focus on gaskets and fasteners or similar products.
2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
3. Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry and its current market trends.
4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
5. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools for lead generation, sales planning, and forecasting.
6. Strong customer relationship management skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
8. Ability to travel as needed.
9. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
