We are seeking an experienced Packaging Manager to oversee daily packaging operations within a high-volume distribution and manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for team leadership, staffing, inventory accuracy, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing or packaging operations experience, a focus on operational efficiency, and the ability to develop employees while meeting production demands, customer expectations, and business objectives.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and operational standards to improve productivity and overall performance.
Oversee daily packaging operations, ensuring staffing levels, schedules, and resources align with business demands.
Manage inventory accuracy, transaction records, and coordination with other departments to maintain material availability.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor labor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Evaluate existing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve output.
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent processes and quality standards.
Lead, train, coach, and develop team members while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters.
Monitor housekeeping and equipment conditions to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to address operational needs and ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
Prepare departmental reports, communicate performance results, and provide recommendations to improve operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or distribution operations.
Strong understanding of production processes, packaging operations, inventory management, and workforce planning.
Demonstrated success leading teams, managing budgets, and improving operational performance.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.
Strong organizational, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and engage employees at all levels.
Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments as operational needs require.
