Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Support attorneys with all phases of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and equitable distribution
- Draft and prepare pleadings, declarations, financial affidavits, discovery responses, and trial exhibits
- File documents with North Carolina courts and ensure compliance with all local rules
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Liaise with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with trial preparation and case management conferences
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings when needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a family law practice
- In-depth knowledge of North Carolina family law procedures and court systems
- Strong drafting and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive client matters with discretion and empathy
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office
- Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
