Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our insurance defense team in a hybrid role (1 day remote, 4 days in-office). This position provides critical support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, with a strong emphasis on organization, communication, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys
* Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
* Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
* Manage deadlines, calendar events, and coordinate meetings
* Communicate with clients, experts, court staff, and opposing counsel
* Assist with trial preparation and case management as needed

Qualifications:

* 2+ years of experience supporting litigation attorneys, ideally in insurance defense
* Familiarity with court procedures, e-filing, and legal terminology
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
* Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
