As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in providing high-level support to our attorneys, assisting with case preparation, and ensuring smooth running of our office. This role requires a candidate who can manage a large workload, handle complex legal matters, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research, compile and analyze substantial amounts of data, and prepare reports and findings.
- Review, organize, and summarize reports and other case materials.
- Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
- Assist in the discovery process, including the collection, review, and production of discovery documents.
- Manage medical and employment records, ensuring they are organized and readily available for use.
- Provide litigation support including preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Perform customer discovery to understand the needs and expectations of our clients.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create and manage databases, presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Maintain and update case management system and ensure all time and data is recorded accurately.
- Liaise with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required; a paralegal certificate is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal.
- Proficient in legal research and discovery management.
- Adept at reviewing and summarizing complex legal documents.
- Experience with drafting legal documents and correspondence is essential.
- Familiarity with medical and employment records.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage large amounts of data, and deal with complex legal matters.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
