We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Full Time Paralegal to join our high-performing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases, providing essential support to our attorneys in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, handling a wide range of responsibilities and gaining exposure to a diverse array of legal matters. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paralegal, preferably with a focus on liability.
Responsibilities:
As a Paralegal, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings, and attending when necessary.
2. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, appeals, contracts, and depositions.
3. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to support case preparation.
4. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
5. Coordinating and managing routine case management activities, including discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials.
6. Assisting with the investigation and fact-finding for cases.
7. Identifying relevant legal articles, laws, judicial decisions, and legal codes that can be used to aid in case preparation.
8. Communicating with clients, witnesses, expert witnesses, and other law firms to coordinate interviews, meetings, and depositions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with a strong preference for those with experience in liability.
2. A Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited institution.
3. Strong knowledge of legal research techniques and databases.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
