We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters, providing critical support to our attorneys. The successful candidate will be a key player in our organization, responsible for conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and managing case files. This role will also involve direct interaction with clients and other professionals, which requires a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on a wide range of issues related to our practice areas.
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines to ensure all necessary actions are taken on time.
  • Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals to schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings.
  • Participate in client meetings and depositions, taking detailed notes and summaries.
  • Review and analyze a variety of legal documents for relevance and accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and witness testimony.
  • Provide support in the area of insurance defense, including reviewing insurance policies, conducting research on insurance law, and assisting in the preparation of related legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in the legal industry.
  • A certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience in legal research and a strong understanding of legal terminology.
  • Experience in insurance defense is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using legal research software and other legal databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
