We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Paralegal to join our energetic legal team. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on a variety of legal tasks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting legal projects, liaising with clients, and assisting our legal team in preparing for trials, meetings, and mediations. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
3. Handle and organize legal documents in a meticulous manner.
4. Review and analyze legal documents to ensure accuracy.
5. Conduct extensive legal research.
6. Maintain attorneys’ calendars by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel.
7. Record and store client information in a confidential manner.
8. Liaise with clients and opposing counsel.
9. Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively and respond to changing priorities.
10. Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls, filing, and photocopying.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal.
2. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or a related field.
3. Paralegal certification is highly desirable.
4. Proficiency in legal documentation and document review.
5. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
6. Strong research skills and knowledge of legal databases.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and legal software applications.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
12. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
